The Healing Was in the Slowing Down: My Bali 2025 Retreat Transformation
I went to Bali to hold space — for others, for the circle, for the dream that had been years in the making.
But Bali held space for me too.
I shed, healed, and transformed in ways I didn’t realize I needed.
What My Body Had Been Carrying
There’s a certain kind of exhaustion that doesn’t show up on your face — it settles deep in your bones, your joints, your breath. That’s the kind of heaviness I arrived in Bali with. And slowly, layer by layer, the island helped me let it go.
Visits with a Balinese healer cracked something open.
He worked on my ankles, yes — but also something deeper. He placed his hands on old, silent grief. Trauma I had long intellectualized, but never physically released. I walked out of each session feeling lighter, clearer — as though space had opened inside me I hadn’t realized was closed.
When the Water Took the Weight
One of the most profound moments was our Balinese water purification ceremony.
This was no tourist ritual. It was sacred. Intentional. We entered the water with reverence and offered our prayers to each stream. As the cold water rushed over my crown and my heart, I felt something shift — not just spiritually, but physically.
My nervous system recalibrated. My breath deepened. My skin tingled.
And when I emerged, I felt… new.
Not because everything was fixed, but because something had been released.

A Full-Circle Moment — From 2018 to Now
This retreat was also deeply personal.
Back in 2018, my best friend and I were sitting under the Balinese sun, dreaming. Talking about creating a retreat one day — one that would hold women, witness them, and reconnect them to their wholeness.
In 2025, that vision became real.
We co-created the very thing we needed ourselves. And in doing so, we both grew — spiritually, emotionally, even physically.
Our friendship deepened. Our faith expanded. And we finally understood that the things we plant in love always bloom… just not always on our timeline.
This Is What Healing Feels Like
I’m not returning home “healed” — that word feels too neat for something this sacred.
But I am returning lighter.
More anchored in my body.
More in love with what it means to heal in layers.
Bali reminded me:
You can release old pain without fully understanding it.
You can transform without pushing.
You can step into your own medicine simply by showing up — open, willing, and soft.
My ankles no longer ache. My heart is more open. And my body?
She’s whispering, “Thank you.”
We believe healing is a journey best taken in community — and we’re so excited to offer our next Bali retreat in April 2026, open to both men and women. If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself, nourish your spirit, and step into a deeper sense of balance, we’d love to have you with us.
